Primary School Gathering

I supposed it has been almost a year since we last met each other. This time round Jea made the dinner reservation, Em decided the date and ting started the invitation. The meet-up time was at 7pm, outside Cold Storage, Holland Village but I was there early at 6. 40pm. The 1st person to reach was Em at 7.40pm… Geesh.. I was kinda inpatient by then and pissed… Standing outside Cold Storage is not fun at all especially for an hour-long. Jea came shortly after and apparently, Jea was there at 6.45pm too! (Somewhere at Holland Village and I didn’t have her number!)

So we decided to walk over to the place to eat which we have no idea where and the name of the restaurant. (Jea was the one who made the dinner reservation) Ting called shortly when we were at the restaurant entrance. So I gave her the direction as per: “You see the POSB building opposite Cold Storage? Cos the traffic light and continue walking straight, look towards your left, you will see a row of shophouses, just walk right to the end we are there. Restaurant name is Mai Thai Restaurant.” And this exact direction was later transferred over from her to SCY who came after her. My instruction on direction is good! *lol*

Drive-thru Chinatown

We were on the way back home from my mom’s place. Hub decided to drive pass Chinatown to look at the decoration for this year’s Chinese New Year.

My first impression? I’m not impressed. It’s too casual, no effort made and too shabby as compared to last year. I believe they can do better.

Tai Wah Pork Noodles

Photobucket
I am hooked on Tai Wah Pork Noodles. Whenever we are at Hong Lim Temporary Food Centre to delivery goods I would sure ask hub to buy this stall’s noodles for me.

The noodles are so Q and delicious that I think I can eat it everyday.

Brunch at Mimo

I guess I am getting addicted on having brunch on weekend. Supposed to go for brunch at Riders Cafe but hub had to go back to office. But the urge of having my brunch satisfied did not stop me from bugging hub.

Hub drove the car and off we went to Riders Cafe. But the queue was no joke, there were 6 couples ahead of us waiting for a table for 2. Hub suggested we walked to Mimo to have our brunch.

As we walked up the stairs of Mimo, 2 cute rabbits greeted us.

Nice setting outside the entrance…

When we walked into the restaurant, the feeling and atmosphere were so different, as if you entered into Alice’s Wonderland. There were trees painted on the walls with rabbits and flowers on them. The chairs were also painted to blend into the restaurant environment.

Hub ordered the Farmers Breakfast which I feels is kind of steep and not filling. However I guess you are paying for the ambience as well.
Photobucket
The food portion caught us by surprise…
Photobucket
Don’t you think it’s a bit too little? It would be good if they include toast bread.

As for me, I head straight for dessert skipping the rest of the menu. I had a Caramelized Pear French Toast. OH MY GOD! When you place the toast with the vanilla ice-cream right into your mouth, it was like HEAVENNNN!!! What a great combination! The caramel actually enhance the flavour altogether. A MUST try!

Meeting an Old Friend

It has been a long 3 years since we last meet up. We fixed a date via Facebook and whatsapp and off we go for our Saturday Brunch. Brunch at Wild Honey was great and delightful. The place was cozy but do note that the place get really crowded. So if possible get counter seats or be real early! As for prices it is a bit steep but the food was great!

English Breakfast for 2, Long white for her and Cappuccino for me. The coffee was great, the aroma itself is heaven. A cup of coffee a day, keeps the headache away.

For moi

For the girlfriend

Shopping is  for the women. So we walked from Mandrian Gallery to Takashimaya to Wheelock Place and end of at Starbucks. Nothing makes a coffee addicts day other than coffee!

Photos as memento.
